PROBLEM:
How do we get the necessary insight into the activities and tasks in the shops, so that we no longer have to make use of temporary workers without losing too many hours?

SOLUTION
With Softbrick WFM and the Forecasting functionality, they can make employee scheduling software more accurate. They make use of basic information, such as sales data and visitor numbers – or, as in the case of Intratuin Malden, the number of packages. “We are budgeting on sales and packages. The standardize we measured the duration of work based on the package. We have determined the sales data based on the historical data supplemented by a projected percentage increase in turnover” said Christian den Brok.

Workforce planning can be done on different levels within the Softbrick system. Intratuin Malden schedules its staff not only based on packages, hours, wages and standardize but even at the task level. The result is an optimal staffing with the ideal level of service in stores. In addition, they now have a clear guide for the planners and employees

GOALS:
“We are making this tool clear for our planners, showing them how the schedule should look and how they should plan with this tool. We now can justify why we have scheduled extra hours. Our business has a lot to do with the seasons and the weather, so we are able to anticipate better.”

Intratuin uses Softbrick WFM to manage its labor cost percentage. The location in Nuenen deployed 6000 man hours in a year, against a turnover rise of 4%. The payroll comprises 1.2% of sales – a substantial savings!
